Aphid Bulletin : Regions
The Aphid Bulletin is based on data from a network of sixteen suction-traps. The traps are emptied daily during the 'aphid season' and the aphids identified to species in most cases. Each trap is representative of what is flying over an region of radius approximately 80 km.
Early Bulletin Aphids can be found on the EarlyBulletinAphids table.
Aphid Forecast
Pre-season forecasts provide predictions for the timing of the start of the aphid migration and aphid abundance spring and early summer. These forecasts are targeted at brassicas, potatoes and cereal crops.
Aphid Alert
Aphid alert is a free weekly summary of the BYDV and peach-potato aphid numbers in your region. Texts will be sent on a Saturday morning containing aphid data from your nominated suction-trap.
The service runs between April to June, and in autumn during the period of BYDV transmission. Data are identical to the Aphid Bulletin available throughout the aphid season.
